Mr. Imanol Ansoalde

Mr. Ansoalde has a Degree in Economic Sciencies, minor in Mathematical Economics, from the Basque Country University, and a BsJuris from the Spanish National University for Distance Education (“Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia”), a Master Degree in Taxation and Finance from the Basque Country University, and he is a Civil Servant of the Group of State-employed Qualified Statisticians (“Funcionario del Cuerpo de Diplomados en Estadística del Estado) – currently on leave –,  and tax inspector of the Treasury and Finance Department of the Gipuzkoa County Council (“Departamento de Hacienda de la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa”) – currently on leave.

In 1986 he started working in the National Statistical Institute (“Instituto Nacional de Estadística”), being assigned to the Provincial Agency of Gipuzkoa.

In 1990 he widened his professional career by starting to work at the Treasury and Finance Department of the Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa (i.e. Gipuzkoa County Council) where, apart from carrying out taxpayer inspections, he provided tax advice as a member of the Technical Inspection Office (“Oficina Técnica de Inspección”).

In addition, during that stage of his professional career, he was appointed as member of the Cooperative Consultive Commitee (“Comisión Consultiva de Cooperativas”), a  joint body made up by the High Council of Cooperatives of Euskadi (“Consejo Superior de Cooperativas de Euskadi”)  and the Gipuzkoa County Council (“Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa”).

In 2003 he started his professional career in CIALT Asesores, in particular in the tax area, as a partner of the firm and being project manager.

During the academic year 1994-1995 he was associate lecturer at the Business School of the Basque Country University (“Escuela de Estudios Empresariales de la Universidad del País Vasco”) where he taught  “company tax regime” in the Degree of Business Studies.

He has also worked as a lecturer in several post-graduate courses, for example, the Expert Programme on SMEs Financial Management (“Programa Experto en Gestión Financiera de Pymes”), organized by the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business (“Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales”) of Deusto University in San Sebastián.

He has collaborated regularly with the Basque Professional Association of Economists (“Colegio Vasco de Economistas”) and with the Chamber of Commerce by teaching several courses on different tax matters such as tax procedure, Individual Income Tax –IIT-, taxation of financial products, etc.

From July 1995 to March 2002 he served as the coordinator of the journal “Forum Fiscal de Gipuzkoa” (i.e. Gipuzkoa Fiscal Forum) and of the collective work “Vademécum Fiscal de Gipuzkoa” (i.e. Gipuzkoa Tax Vademecum), and he was also an author of several articles published in the latter. He has published several specialized articles on tax matters.
